The Department of Education has just announced that the deadline for application submissions to the WRP which allow for back payments has been extended to 30 September 2025.
The Department has also amended the Grant Guidelines from requiring ‘completed’ applications by the new deadline, to now only requiring ‘submitted’ applications – this will enable applications to still be eligible for backdating even if there are errors within their application that require amendment.
Additionally, the funding review backdating end date has also been extended to 31 October 2025.
If you have not yet applied for the WRP but still intend to, you now have more time to put your application together. Additionally if you wish to adopt the Multi-Employer Agreement as your preferred workplace instrument, this is still possible.
