Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFAs)

Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFAs) are an acceptable workplace instrument for the purpose of applying for the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Worker Retention Payment (WRP), as long as the individual agreements comply with the grant guideline requirements.

If you have thoughtfully considered your options and decided that the IFAs option is the most appropriate workplace instrument for any or all of your employees, the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) is here to help.

We have developed a set of Individual Flexibility Arrangement (IFA) templates, that comply with the Worker Retention Payment Grant Opportunity Guidelines, for the benefit of the whole early learning sector. These have been developed in collaboration with our expert legal team at the Australian Business Lawyers and Advisors (ABLA) and the Department of Education.

We are pleased to offer these IFA templates to all early learning service providers across Australia at no cost, to support the sector’s compliance with the requirements of the WRP.

There are four template versions for employers to use, depending on your individual circumstances and needs.

Before you download any of the IFA templates, we strongly recommend that you read ACA's IFA Guide very carefully and make sure you understand the process.

We will then send you an email with the documents included.
