How to Use

Step 1 – Select Award and Period

Choose the Award and the correct effective date range to load the relevant base and WRP (Worker Retention Payment) rates.

Step 2 – Choose Classification

Select the applicable employee classification (e.g. Level 3.1, Diploma, Director). The base and WRP rates will automatically display.

Step 3 – Choose Employment Type

Select Full-time, Part-time, or Casual. Casual employees automatically receive a 25% loading and cannot accrue annual leave.

Step 4 – Enter Hours

Add the number of hours worked under each category:

  • Ordinary hours
  • Annual Leave (includes a 17.5% loading – disabled for casuals)
  • Overtime (1.5x loading)

Step 5 – Optional: Actual Hourly Rate

If you pay above the Award base, enter the actual hourly rate. The WRP amount remains linked to the classification.

Step 6 – Review Results

View the total wage cost per employee and toggle Wage Breakdown for details (Base vs WRP components).

Step 7 – Export Results

Use “Export to Excel (CSV)” to download a summary of all employees for record-keeping.

GBU MODE Gender-based undervaluation mode is ON
For employees opted into the Worker Retention Payment (WRP), take-home pay does not increase from 1 March 2026 (provided this is permissable under the applicable workplace instrument) — only the pay composition changes (award base increases and the WRP top-up reduces). This approach assumes the WRP is paid as a separate allowance. There may be no need to change pay composition on payslips if an all-up rate is currently paid.
